Cute repurposed wood items I have been working on...

FYI: I am moving back over to my old blog, I set this up for items I was selling on craigslist
but have decided to go back to my name as most my items will be going to Red Barn Studios.
I will still be taking custom orders and making some things for my clients. Please go to:
www.inspiremedesigns.com (click on link and it will take you to my site)
Click follow me as I will be having some great giveaways for the Holidays!
I also want to thank Maria H my newest client for all the wonderful things
you said to me! All my previous clients will get a discount on any new items
you purchase from me in the future.

First up is an old antique drawer front:

Next up is an antique china cabinet door:

You can also use this as a chalkboard just use a chalk pen
and you can write and erase all you want!

Next up is an old piece of wood that I think came off an antique armior.

This is OLD! I'm almost done with this one, as soon as it's done
 I will post the pictures.

Thanks for looking!

The Red Desk and some awesome news!

Hi Everyone!!

I finished the desk I've been working on for a week! I also have some awesome
news. I was contacted by this awesome man who owns a HUGE studio in
New Braunfels and would like me to work with him on some furniture. I was
so touched and honored by his email. I went to go meet with him and was in awe
of what all he does. He is a master craftsman and has people from all over Texas
sending him furniture to fix and refinish. I have never seen so many different antiques
and furniture, some I've only seen in magazines. This man is living my dream, he works out
of an old antique red barn. I can't remember how big it is, but I think 5000 Sq Ft.
I could not believe how he rebuilds so many broken treasures and makes them
look like new! I mean some of this furniture is in pieces and he puts them back together
as if they were taken care of since day one. I will share more about this later this week,
as I want to get some pictures of the inside... Ok, here's the desk:

This desk is a very deep shade of red with carved cabriole legs. It has two glazes
which give it a warm and worn look. It measures 53 7/8 x 24. It also has a glass top
for protection and is painted on the back as well.

I noticed the white on the side and thought "what the heck"
it's carpet fresh from cleaning. There will be no carpet fresh on it
when its purchased. LOL

The back of the desk.

I'm working on an old antique kitchen island and hope to have it up by Tuesday. It is
one of my favorite pieces I've ever purchased.

Antique Dresser and 3 drawer chest

Hello Everyone!

I'm finally getting these pictures posted. I also wanted to let you know
I will start painting the desk with the most gorgeous details and cabriole
legs. I cannot wait to start painting the desk. Sue, I'm painting your stuff
as I type, I'm waiting on the primer to dry so I can start painting. I'm working
on getting some more accessories up for sale as well. I'm going to try and set
up my garage in a way where the accessories will be available for viewing
when you pick up your furniture pieces. Instead of "would you like fries with
that" I'm going to say "Would you like accessories with the dresser" HEE HEE!
OK, here they are.....

First up is the antique dresser with all the original hardware.
It measures 58 3/4 wide x 31 tall x 18 1/4 deep. It's a beauty!

                                                           ~SOLD~

The 3 drawer chest is also an antique and has all the original hardware as well.
The measurements are 38 w x 34 1/4 tall x 18 1/4 deep.

Gorgeous vanity with bench

Hi Everyone!

I am so sorry it took so long to get something new up.
I have been so busy! I went to an auction and will have
some new things coming up soon. I should have an
antique dresser and 3 drawer chest up by tomorrow.
I'm hoping to have a gorgeous desk up by Friday.
It has cabriole legs (woot) I am painting it a dark red
and heavily distressing it. I also bought this CUTE cabinet,
it's all beat up and is missing its bottom shelves. It is my
favorite piece! It also was the most expensive piece I bought! (LOL)

OK, here's the vanity:

It is a very pale blue, heavily distressed, antiqued, and sealed.
Measures 28 wide x 16  deep x 51 tall with mirror and has
beautiful cabriole legs. Click on photo's to enlarge to see details.

Have a great day! I promise to get more stuff up soon!

Happy Friday and an update!

Hi Everyone!

First I want to say HELLO to my new followers..... HELLO!
I have some new pieces coming... I have an antique dresser, antique
vanity, and an antique chest. I'm still in the process of getting the pieces
ready for paint. Anyone want to help me sand? That's what takes so L O N G...
The prepping the furniture so they will last many more years to come. I have
a love of old wood, any kind of wood. I found an old wooden screwdriver
and am in love with it! I thought while your waiting for me to put the new
furniture pics up, I will let you see pictures of my obsession. LOL, I will try
and get some new furniture online before the weekend is over.
